Ditch the SMART Goals, Run Experiments Instead
Spoiler alert: we're running experiments, not setting traditional goals here.
Why? Goals assume that you will be “done” once you achieve them... but your life doesn't actually end like a fairytale once you’ve gotten promoted, changed careers, kickstarted your side hustle or pursued your passion project.
Instead, experiments keep you focused on the “right” thing—the thing that’s actually the goal underneath your goal: joy, and the adventure of experiencing it.
Moreover, experiments have a “learn first” mentality that becomes naturally addicting after a while - it is an intrinsic or internal motivator whereas all goals are extrinsically or externally motivated on some level (aka the reward is outside of the experience of taking the action).
Press play to hear more about how creating experiments instead of setting traditional goals will help you reverse burnout and make peaceful progress on bringing your secret dream to life.
